p0507 Code Causes

  • A faulty positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve
  • Damaged/failed/dirty throttle body
  • Failed EVAP system
  • Failed IAC (idle air controller) or faulty IAC circuit

Ask yourself, does it idle higher than normal? If so,remove the IAC. Its on the very front of the throttle body.2.4L DOHC Engine…It has 4 wires and the top of the plugin is square.Unplug and remove the 2 screws and pull strait out while wiggling and twisting back and forth.Clean it & the housing it came out of with some carb. cleaner to remove any carbon deposits. To test it,using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance across terminals A & B, then C & D. Each check should indicate 40 to 80 ohms. If not, replace the IAC.
