P0662 GMC Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve Position Sensor Circuit High Voltage

P0662 GMC Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve Position Sensor Circuit High Voltage

Possible causes
– Faulty Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC)
– Intake Manifold Runner Control harness is open or shorted
– Intake Manifold Runner Control circuit poor electrical connection
What about the obd code?
If the output voltage from the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) valve position sensor is higher than a set value, a malfunction is detected and the P0662 GMC code will set.
Symptoms
– Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
P0662 GMC Description

The Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) valve position sensor is mounted on the IMRC valve shaft and detects an IMRC valve position. The IMRC valve position sensor includes the brush that moves with the IMRC valve, and it has a linear signal output in relation to the IMRC valve position when sliding on the board. The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the IMRC valve position sensor voltage which represents the IMRC valve position. If the output voltage from the IMRC valve position sensor is higher than a set value, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.
