P1711 Lincoln Engine Torque Control Signal 1 Circuit Malfunction

Possible causes

– Open or short circuit condition betwen Transmission Control Module (TCM) and Engine Control Module (ECM).
– Poor electrical connection at the TCM or ECM connector.
– Faulty TCM

Tech description

This problem is usually and electrical problem, open or short circuit between TCM and ECM.

Symptoms

– Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)

P1711 Lincoln Description

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) sends a Torque Control Signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM). The P1711 Lincoln code is set when the signal received by the the ECM it’s not what is expected.
